Prana Yoga and Healing Center

Sarasota, FL

Upcoming Artist

The practice of kirtan originated in India with the intention to bring sacred chanting out of the temples and into the streets for everyone to experience.  Its form is nearly always in the call-and-response format.  Rabbi Hahn describes his kirtan as “fully participatory call-and-response chant where short, sacred phrases from the Jewish tradition are used to form  powerful, universal meditations.  It is at once contemplative, ecstatic and joyous.”

Bring your voices and open hearts to join us for an evening of meditation, music and community spirit with Kirtan Rabbi and his special musical guest artists.  Enjoy Hebrew chants, soothing vocals, dreamy loops, and hypnotic world rhythms.  To find out more about Kirtan Rabbi, go to KirtanRabbi.com

This evening will take place at Prana Yoga and Healing Center located at 3840 South Osprey Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34239 on February 11, 2017 at 7:00 pm.  Doors open at 6:45 pm.

Here is a sample of Kirtan Rabbi, the song "Kaddish." Kaddish is an ancient Jewish prayer of thanksgiving and praise and concluding with a prayer for universal peace.
